Vinyl panels in retro interiors

Retro is still all the rage, with many customers eager to decorate their flats and houses in this style, combining classic style with modern accessories. Vinyl panels are ideal for such arrangements, creating an impressive floor while also guaranteeing durability for many years to come.

Retro-inspired interiors should be based on subdued colours: beige, white, and black. They should be broken up by strong, contrasting accents such as navy blue, red, blue and orange. The base colours are used for walls, floors and larger pieces of furniture, while colour accents are applied to accessories: paintings, graphics, decorative glass (e.g. vases).

Vinyl floors are a great solution for retro-style interiors – thanks to their synchronous structure and wood grain pattern, they perfectly imitate natural wood, a core element of classic interiors. The advantage of vinyl boards is their high resistance to damage and abrasion, thanks to which they retain their flawless appearance for a long time.

Polish retro style – what makes it stand out?

Interior designers note that their clients are keen to draw inspiration from Polish design of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Furniture, graphics and art inspired by that era are making a big comeback, enabling the creation of original and functional interiors. When attempting to create such spaces, it is definitely worth considering furniture modelled after the famous “366” armchairs by J. Chierowski. You can often find original armchairs from those years in attics or antique shops – pieces like these are real gems that will make a phenomenal addition to any interior. Low, comfortable armchairs should be paired with a smaller or larger coffee table, also inspired by 1960s fashion. Such a coffee corner is bound to delight guests and allow them to relax with their favourite book in hand.

If you want to recreate the unique style of Polish interiors from those years, it is worth focusing on details – these can include stylised hanging and standing lamps, as well as original glass decorations: vases and tableware from Ćmielów or Bolesławiec factories. Another simple and effective element is wall graphics.

Vinyl panels – a classic with a modern twist

Vinyl panels are a perfect match for retro interiors – they give them a unique character while ensuring high durability of the floor for many years. Notably, they improve acoustic comfort by subtly silencing rooms. Moreover, unlike laminate panels, their structure is warm and pleasant to the touch.

If you want to see how a given decor will look in a specific room, it is worth using the VIN IN Visualiser. The Visualiser is a free, convenient tool that you can access from your smartphone. Simply upload a photo of your room, select a decor and specify the layout of the boards. The application also allows you to compare two selected decors, save your arrangements and have a closer look at the structure of the selected floor. The Visualiser significantly facilitates and speeds up the process of choosing a new floor.
